After completing his master’s degree at Harding University in 1979, Robert moved to The Woodlands, Texas, along with his wife Kaye and pursued a career in teaching and coaching at McCullough High School. In 1989, he left education and started his financial career as an independent representative providing life insurance through Franklin Life and then AIG to individuals and company employees.
Now over thirty-five years later, he has increased his areas of expertise to include retirement and estate planning, generational planning and college funding , investment management, and long-term care planning.
In 2001, a main area of emphasis became working with educators and staff who are retiring through the Teacher Retirement Services of Texas or TRS. Whether they are ready to retire now, in the near future, or somewhere down the road, he helps them plan now.
He currently holds licenses in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Oregon. In 2008, he joined United Planners Financial Services as a Registered Representative where he now offers securities and advisory services.
As a deacon at Woodland Oaks Church of Christ, he oversees the men’s ministry as well as homebound members and pickleball recreation. In his spare time, he enjoys golf and pickleball.
